About the event

Meditation Class Description: It's a universal human experience, our minds wander. In fact, we spend almost half our waking hours thinking about something other than what we're currently doing. While this is normal, it can also be a significant source of stress and anxiety, pulling us into unhelpful loops of worry and rumination. This class teaches you how to tame your wandering mind.

The goal isn't to stop your thoughts, that's impossible. Instead, you will learn the mindful skill of noticing when your mind has strayed and gently guiding it back without judgment. This practice is a powerful form of resilience training. Neuroscientific studies have shown that the part of the brain responsible for this 'mind-wandering', the Default Mode Network, is less active in experienced meditators. By training your awareness, you learn to step out of the mental traffic, gaining a crucial sense of perspective and control.

This session is perfect for anyone…
