A Free Meditation Course for Ambitious Professionals
At klarosity we understand the demands of professional life. Time is your most valuable asset, and you don't always have it to spare. That's why this simple, free meditation course is built to support your busy schedule. Short and accessible, and available for you to dip in and out of as your schedule allows.
Many people believe meditation means 'silencing the mind' or stopping thoughts. This is one of the leading myths about meditation.
Instead, meditation is a practical technique for training your attention and learning to observe your thoughts without judgment or getting carried away by them.
Researchers have now established that this mental training can lead to measurable professional benefits, including;
Enhanced cognitive focus
Greater resilience to stress and pressure
Improved creative problem-solving, and
More compassionate and effective leadership.
The goal of this first practice is simply to build the foundational skill of anchoring your attention.
Think of it as the first step in training your focus. You'll learn that meditation is a simple, practical tool you can use anytime, anywhere, even between a pitch and a client call.
What to Expect This Week
Here’s a brief look at the skills you'll build over the next 7 days. There's no need to register, just follow the below to read each day's lesson and download the audio recording:
Day 1 & 2: Build foundational focus and learn to tame your distracted mind.
Day 3 & 4: Learn to manage pressure in real-time by activating your "calm" system and building resilience.
Day 5: Use a specific technique to enhance creative thinking and find innovative solutions.
Day 6: Train the core leadership skills of empathy and connection.
Day 7: Integrate these skills and discover the path to making them a lasting habit.
A Few Tips for Starting Your Meditation Practice
Meditation Posture: There is no need to sit in a particular posture. Simply find a comfortable space where you can sit with your back straight so as to be comfortable yet alert. If you'd prefer to lie down or try a more traditional cross-legged posture then that is fine. Just find what is comfortable for you. Rest your hands gently in your lap, or by your side if laying.
Breathing: Keep your breathing natural, as you would normally breathe. There is no need to adopt a particular breathing technique, and you can breathe through your nose or your mouth. Again, do what feels most comfortable to you.
Timing: You can practice your meditation at any time of day. What's important is that you make your best effort to do it each day for the next 7 days to experience the benefits of meditation. Research suggests that just 5-days of consistent meditation practice can improve executive attention, reduce stress and enhance mood. You may wish to set yourself a reminder in your calendar.
